LATE RATES MAINTAINED.
NEW ZEALAND PRODUCT. GOOD COMPETITION. (United Press Association—By Electric ,j Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received September 20, 11 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 19. At the wool sales to-day, 9055 bales were offered, including 3981 from New Zealand, and approximately 5660 "were sold. There was a moderate selection of greasy Merinos suitable for all sections, arid a good offering of all classes of New Zealand wools, for which there was good competition. Late rates were fully maintained. New Zealand realisations: Greasy crossbred, Ranui, top price 9ld, average B£d; Pakira, lOd, 9Jd. PRICES IRREGULAR AT ADELAIDE. Received September 20, 11. a.m. ADELAIDE, Sept. 20. The prices at the first wool sale of the season, which has just closed, were irregular. The best wool was about five per cent, cheaper than the June sales; ordinary, ten per cent, easier. Thirty thousand bales were offered, the withdrawals totalling twenty per cent.
