A staunch defence by Giles at centre held up another Busli. attack, Anderson coming to the relief to get through and score. —Feilding 1, Bush 1. Florence provided a thrill when he went right down the side line with a good dribble, the visitors rushing to the circle to save. A vigorous tussle for possession saw Bush work clear, hut agnin Feilding returned for Wallis to miss with his goaling shot. Bush went away on a raid which caught the clues out of position, the drive ending in Hutchinson goaling, hut a few moments later the blues equalised when from a corner penalty Florence sent in a shot which completely beat the Bush goalie.—Feilding 2, Busli 2. Vigorous play followed with Feilding carrying the game into the visitors' territory. Good side line work by Wallis and Florence saw the .leather Packer, outclassed the defence for the latter to .goal.—Feildiiig 3, Bush 2. / ■ The spell ended without further score. ; Whiteman was called on to keep his charge intact immediately following the resumption of play, Busli launching a' drive from- bully-off, blit, with the aid of Menzies and Alsop he drove tlie raiders off. The yellows were not to be denied, however, and, coming dowrifield with a strong rush, they got past the backs. Whiteman came out to meet' the danger, but badly missed the hall, giving Hutchison an easy goal.—Busli 3, Feilding 3.- - ' Busli were now hot oil attack and the Feilding defence was extended to the’ utmost to keep them in check. Miss Bridge ‘ sent the blues to the attack from a penalty hit, Miss'Buckley, hitting the ball over the back line in defending, but from the resultant corner the blues' failed to get through. A rally by the visitors saw the blue defence penetrated, but a dangerous situation was saved by the goalie, Miss Scott, who relieved with a liara hit. From a twenty-five bully Miss Managh set up an attack which reached the blacks’ circle and in a melee Misses Dewe and Waterworth overcame the resistance for the latter to goal— Feilding 2, Wellington 0. Hard on the bully-off the blues got away, neat stick work taking them through the somewhat poor defence for Miss Dixon tQ send in her second go-'l—Feilding-3, Wellington 0. Wellington rallied and, with the first exhibition of combination shown, got through ,the blues, but the attack broke down in the blue circle where the blacks were penalised. A big hit by Miss Pengelly went well down the field to be accepted by Miss Dewe and Miss Waterworth who got through the black backs easily to

centre to Miss Wonsfold who goaled the scores reading at half-time five—nil in favour of Feilding. The visitors again found their form inferior to the local , girls when immediately following the interval the Feilding backs repulsed, a black raid to shoot well downfield. Miss Managh accepted the shot to pass to. Misses Dewe and Waterworth who again gave a pretty exhibition for the latter to score—Feilding 6 Wellington 0. Play had barely resumed when the blacks broke away to threaten the blue goal for the first time, but Feilding worked free to carry play rapidly to the other goal where, following a penalty, Miss Worsfold again got the ball home—Feilding 7 Wellington 0. From this stage Wellington defended much better and kept the blues at bay, although play hardly shifted from the blacks’ circle. In defending Mies Buckley was hurt and. left the held, Miss Hennessy replacing her. No further scores were registered, Feilding winning a rather one-sided game by seven goals to nil. Messrs Moore and W. A. Scott were the referees. BUSH BEAT FEILDING. In the game between the Bush and Feilding ladies’ clubs the following were the teams: — - . Bush.—Misses K. Smith, J. Davies, J. Feilding 1, Bush 0. , The blues attacked strongly and despite a staunch defence got through to equalise the scores and immediately following tho bully-off again had the greens penned in, but spoilt their chances through over-eagerness. Feilding worked. loose to carry play with good combination to the blue circle where -a good shot made the tally Feilding 2, Bush 1. „ Half-time found the scores unchanged. *• - In the second spell Busli got the upper hand in the last few minutes of the game when they shot three goals in quick succession, running out the winners of an interesting game by five goals to two.
