BILLIARDS.
CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST. LONDON, Aug. 14. “It is not for Lindrum to dictate the terms under which the English championship shall be played,” said Mr Stanley Thorn, secretary of the Billiards Control Council, to-day. Walter Lindrum, before sailing from Melbourne for England, said: “There is ono condition upon which I am going to insist in the English billiards championship: If it is won by McConachy it shall be contested next year in New Zealand, and if by me, then in Australia.”
