COLLEGE STREET SCHOOL.
PROCEEDS OF RECENT BALL. A special meeting of the combined ladies’ and gentlemen’s committees was held at the College Street School last, evening to consider the balancesheet of the recent school ball. There was a net profit of £33 18s lid, which it was unanimously decided should be employed in general improvements and playing equipment for the children. Mrs A. W. Mac Donnell was authorised to arrange a card evening to be held early in the third term. The ladies’ committee is also contemplating arrangements for a garden fete in December. Reference was made to the good work carried out by the late Mr P. W. Barnard, and the members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the deceased gentleman.
