WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
PROPOSED SECESSION. SUPPORTED BY FARMERS. Received August 14, 10.5 a.m. PERTH, Aug. 14. The annual conference of the Primary Producers’ Association of Western Australia decided by an overwhelming majority in favour of secession from the Commonwealth. Senator Lynch, supporting the motion, said he would say to the Commonwealth, “We refuse to pay.your taxes and you can send your armies to collect them.” This would bring matters to a head and bring right-thinking people in the Eastern States to the support of Western Australia. He would toe the line of revolt if necessary.
