MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
An application for a prohibition order against her husband, Lleon Elmer Downes (Mr Ongley) of Palmerston North, was made by Lillian Downes (Mr Lanrenson) before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. It was alleged by complainant that her husband had on four occasions since the expiration of a previous order come home drunk, had used bad language, and on one occasion had torn three of her daughter’s dresses and destroyed a packet of writing paper. The allegations were denied by defendant. After hearing evidence, His Worship refused to make an order.
