MAGISTRATE'S COURT. (Special to ‘.‘Standard.’’) FEII.DING, Aug. 13. Mr R. M. Watson, S.M., presided oyer tho fortnightly sitting of the Feilding Magistrate’s Court yesterday. For driving a motor ear without having an assigned number plate attached Walter Andrew Chandler was fined £1 and costs 10s. Crossing the railway lino at a time when the lino was not clear cost Eldon Bramwell Fraser, of Feilding, 10s and costs. Failing to keep to tho left of the road when approaching another vehicle on the ICimbolton Road cost Trovor Gallies 15s and 10s costs. Thomas Wilson Pinhey, hotelkeeper, of ICimbolton, was mulcted in the sum of £1 and 10s costs for failing to keep a light burning over the door of his prem13C“ WANDERING STOCK. For allowing stock to wander on the public highway tho following were fined : Henry C. Jefferies, 15s, costs 123; Edith Hodgetts, £1 10s, costs 12s; Otto Edward True, 10s costs 12s. CIVIL LIST. Judgment was granted plaintiff by default in the following undefended civil cases:—W. J. Alpe v. 11. Smith, 7s 3d, costs 14s; A. D. Belk v. A. C. Reid, £6 ss, costs £1 14s 6d; John Cobbe and Coy, Ltd., v. E. Cronin (separate estate), £5 4s 9d, costs £1 13s 6d; G. Busch v. C. D. Oliver, £147 5s 6d, costs £7 15s 6d; William Lambert v. J. Blake, £4 Is, costs £1 12s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONS CASES. J. 11. Samson was ordered to pay the Feilding Sash and Door Coy., Ltd., the sum of £4 8s 6d and costs, in default live days’ imprisonment, tho warrant to be suspended on the payment of £2 per month. 1 Georgo T. Watts obtained an order for the payment of £5 7s 3d and costs from W. Dais, the warrant to be suspended on tho payment of £1 per month. HOCKEY TEAMS. Tho death took place on Monday night of tho wife of Mr E. P. C. Hosking, of Manchester Street, Feilding. Mrs lxosking had been in bad health for a long time, but her illness was not thought so serious as to cause her untimely demise. Sho loaves her husband and a family of six children to whom the sympathy of a largo circle of friends and relatives will be extended. NOTES. The Cheltenham Co-operative Dairy Coy. is paying a bonus of 2d per lb. for all butteriat received during the second six months of tho past season, January to June inclusive, and an additional id per lb. for March supplies of butterfat. The distribution will be made after the annual meeting.
