Men. —Wanderers 5 v. Pirates 3; Stanway 3 v. Colyton 0; Carnarvon a bye. NORDERN CUP MATCH. BUSH UNION”BEATEN AT WANGANUI. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, July 19. In a match for the Norden Cup this afternoon, Wanganui beat Bush Union by 5 goals to 1. After a. torrential downpour the playing conditions were not of the best, but the game was a good one. though rather ragged in the first spell. Play was fast after the interval at which period. anganui led bv one goal to nil. For Wanganui the scorers were: Tizard (2) R Hughes (2) and Oldridge, while Rendle scored the Bush Union’s only goal. REPRESENTATIVE MATCH. WELLINGTON AND CANTERBURY DRAW. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 19. The second 4 match in the hockey Challenge Shield was played to-day l>etween Canterbury and Wellington and resulted in a draw—two goals each. It was a fast, open game. There was no score at half time. S. Bell opened Canterbury s account, scoring from a corner hit. Robb soon equalised for Wellington. Burke scored Canterbury’s second goal soon after Philpotts scored Wellington’s second goal ten minutes before rime was called. RESULTS ELSEWHERE. Results of hockey matches played elsewhere on Saturday were as follow : Wellington.—Senior A : Five-aside tourney (final), Wesley 4 v. Wellington 80. Senior B: Huia Iv. Hutt B 1; Karori 3 v.
