ST. PAUL’S CHURCH.
MUSICAL SERVICE. The usual routine of the evening service at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Broadway, was departed from last evening. In response to numerous requests the choir again presented the cantata, “The Great Light.” Unpropitious weather somewhat affected the attendance, but those who braved the elements were well rewarded with the fine choral work. The sermon, which was considerably curtailed, was . entitled “Why did Christ die?” The preacher was Mr R. H. Boys, of Wellington, who delivered an inspiring address.
