EDUCATION SYSTEM.
Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, July 20. The proposed changes in the education system of New Zealand, as suggested in the report of the commission recently presented to were discussed at'a meeting of the Southland Executive of the Farmers’ Union yesterday, and the following resolution was carried: “That this meeting urges upon the Government the advisability of increasing the expenditure on education, and asks it to safeguard the interests of smaller schools.”
