MIXED PICKLES.
Chop one pound of onions and one pound of apples coarsely, and a quarter of a pound of chillies finely. Boil a pint and a half of vinegar, acid a tablespoonful of salt and, when dissolved, pour over the ingredients. Turn into small jars, and, when cold, cover closely.
