YOUTH INJURED.
RAN IN FRONT OF TAXI. Per Press Association. BLENHEIM, May 19. A lad named Richard Reardon, a son of Mr P. Reardon, a well-known trainer, met with a distressing accident on Saturday afternoon. A taxicab had taken a party from the racecourse to town, and was returning for a second load, when young Reardon appeared suddenly from between a long string of cars proceeding toward Blenheim and ran right in front of the taxi. The lad was thrown off his feet and fell between the wheels of the car, which passed over him. He crawled out from the rear of the vehicle and the driver lost no time in conveying him to the Wairau Hospital. He was found to be suffering head injuries and abrasions.
