CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.
The usual meeting of the Baptist Christian Endeavour Society took place on Thursday evening when Mr C. Carr presided over about thirty members. After several hymns had been sung and the usual business dealt with, Mr G. Thompson delivered a very interesting address on the Telegu Mission. When a misison is small, the speaker stated, the public aro apt to gain the impression that no work is being done. However, this was not so with the Telegu Mission, as was proved by a quarterly report winch was read aloud by Mr Thompson. This report gave evidence of tho fact that, ill almost every department, tho Telegu Mission has as good results to show for its efforts as any other mission. A lettor from Mr Billington, a Telegu missionary known to most of those present, wan also read. The writer expressed his appreciation for the support extended to him and in a yery interesting manner described some of the work of the Mission Society.
