HUGE FORTUNE
DUTCHMAN’S MILLIONS. MANY PEOPLE INTERESTED. SEARCH FOR MISSING PAPERS. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received May 19, 11 a.m. CAPETOWN, May 18. Jan Bantjcs, a Cape shipowner and merchant, placed a fortune on trust in Holland 140 years ago and stipulated that it should not be touched for ono hundred years. There are over four hundred descendants, but the essential papers for establishing proof are missing. Tho fortune is estimated at £20,000,000. Ono descendant, Mrs Wright, buried the paper during the Boer War under the floor of a house at Johannesburg. During the Great War she died. A search supervised by tho police unearthed an amazing hoard of books, and a wallet believed to contain tho missing papers.
