DAIRY COMPANY FINED.
Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 16. In tho Police Court to-day, before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M., the Waitaki Dairy Company, Ltd., was charged ivith selling butter Avhich did not comply Avith the standard. Mr W. D. Taylor, avlio prosecuted, said that the company had been previously convicted and had been Avarned four times. The sample analysed contained 17.25 per cent, of Avater, Avhereas the Act alloAved only 16 per cent. Mr N. Haggitt, for the company, said that every possible precaution had been taken to provide against anything of the sort. The company pleaded guilty under tho circumstances. A fine of £25, Avith costs, was imposed.
