MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.

PRINCE AT ANNUAL MEETING. (British Official Wireless.) Received May 16, 10.5 a.m. RUGBY, May 15. The Prince of Wales to-day made his first public appearance since his return from Africa, when, as Master of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets, he presided at the annual meeting of the Missions to Seamen. He was received by a guard of honour of cadets from the training ship WorThe Prince said that in his travels in the last ten or tivelve years he had seen more than most people the need for the kind of society the missions provided. Our sailors needed help, not on the deep ivaters of the ocean, where they were past masters, but in the crowded slum life in the harbours they visited.
