DEPRESSION IN TOKIO.
POLICE PROHIBIT MEETING. TOKIO, May 13. The business depression is becoming alarmingly worse. During April 945 factories in Tokio were closed. There were 20.000 workmen discharged. Alleviation is not in sight. The police, fearing trouble, have prohibited a mass meeting called by the proletarians for to-morrow.
