MENTAL HYGIENE.
NEW 7 YORK, May 13. Dr. Noble, the Australian delegate to the International Committee for Mental Hygiene, has arrived en route to London. Dr. Noble stated in an interview that eight committees of hygienists would be chosen to carry on investigations in various countries and report at the next general meeting at Paris. The investigations would cover international statistics of those mental disorders which receive special clinical treatment, the laws referring to psychiatric conditions, problems of delino uency and the work done in prisons. ~ , ~r , Dr Noble, in an address at Washington, enumerated the problems prevalent in New Zealand and Australia, and appealed to the larger nations to assist the younger countries to train psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers by offering fellowships lor suitable persons to obtain wider trainings in the United States, Britain and Europe.
