SUN’S ECLIPSE.

SEEN IN WESTERN AMERICA. Many observers on April 28 witnessed the moon cross the face of the sun, causing a total eclipse in north-western California, Navada and Montana. People came from many parts of the world to set up delicate instruments to watch the eclipse, which was partial over a wider area. Aeroplanes were employed in several instances in efforts to obtain photographs. The period of eclipse was one second and a half, says a San Francisco correspondent.
