HOCKEY
MANAWATU ASSOCIATION. The first meeting for the year of the new executive of the Manawatu Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr M. Levy presiding. Also present were Alessrs C. A. Voss, U. Palenski, R. Hoare, N. Hansen, \V. Lundy, C. Short, W. Sutton, J. C. Wood, H. Milne and L. Berry (secretary). It was resolved that entries for the five-aside tourney, the dato of which will be decided at a special meeting, will close on May 19, while entries and registration of players and colours for tho weekly' competition will close on tho same date. Entries from Feilding teams will be received subsequently, should any desire to enter tho Manawatu competitions. All players were granted permission to enter the Feilding tournament on Juno 3. i Committees were elected as follow: Postponement, Alessrs R. L. C. Aitchison, Lundy, Levy and secretary; grounds, Alessrs Aitchison, Voss, J. V. Kyle and secretary ; finance, president, treasurer and secretary. The appointment of a selector was deferred until the next meeting of the executive.
