DIVORCE SUIT.
PETITION GRANTED. An undefended petition in divorce was heard by His Honour the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, in the Palmerston North Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, when Christina Lyons, of Wellington, proceeded against her husband, Henry Edward Lyons. Mr Leicester, of Wellington, represented stated in evidence that she was married in a registrars office, and had since lived in Wellington and Christchurch. There had been two children. Her husband would not work, and witness had to accept a position to provide the wherewithal for the maintenance of herself and the children. She had also sent her husband money to pay his board, but he did not pay it. they had agreed to separate P on September 6, 1923, and had not lived together since, nor had her husband contributed to her maintenance. Witness sought the guardianwhir, of her elder child. His Honour: What about the other r hjidP She is in a State institution.
