VATICAN’S ATTITUDE. ROME, May 11. It is understood that the Vatican’* objection to tho Maltese Constitutional Party extends only so far as the party is Lord Strickland’s instrument. The Pope i.s not concerned about politics, hut lie.has a deep regard for the Church’s interests, which, it is felt, are menaced by the Premier’s policy affecting • age-old religious customs.
