PROBATION GRANTED.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, May 12. “Tho thing that worries me is that he is suffering from a disease which will result in his death if he is incarcerated in prison,” said Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., when sentencing Dominic Daniel Petty, aged 50, a storeman, for stealing grain from a city firm which employed him. Accused, who is threatened with tuberculosis, was granted probation, and ordered to pay £SO restitution.
