TIGERS EAT FOR TALKIES. According to an official report, Burma is the sportsman’s paradise. Last year 492 tigers were killed, the largest* number being at Myitkyina, although of 1200 leopards killed last vear most of them were at Thayetmyo. So much damage was done by large carnivora that people were anxious to kill, reward or no reward. Nearly 400 elephants were captured last year, including over 90 tuskers. Commander Dyott. a famous Amazon explorer., has arrived at Calcutta from Assam ’where lie took thousands of feet of film, a talkie actually being of tigers devouring their kills.
