NEW ZEALAND POPULATION. LESS THAN 18,000 IN TWELVE MONTHS. During the quarter ended March 31 the population of New Zealand, including its dependencies and the mandated territory, showed an increase of 3018 compared with an increase of 3702 during the corresponding quarter of the previous year. . The estimated population is now 1,548,654, comprising 791,155 males and 757,499 females.
