SHIP BREAKS DOWN.
Per Press Association. GISBORNE. May 10. A message was received this morning to the effect that the motor-ship Margaret W. is anchored two miles south of East Cape, with engine trouble. The tug Pelican has been despatched to assist her, but it is not yet known whether the motor-ship will be towed to Gisborne or Auckland for repairs. The steamer Hikurangi is to replace tho MargfirOt W. in the coastwise service pending repairs. A few weeks ago the Margaret W. broke down and had to be towed to safety.
