CARTHAGE, May 8. An open air service preparatory to the inauguration of the Eucharistic Congress took place to-day. Delegates and pilgrims were present from all parts of the British. Empire. Thousands of white-clad children, bearing Crusaders’ crosses on their breasts, many being African converts, received Communion at the hands of the Cardinals and Bishops, while four thousand delegates to the congress knelt in prayer.
