Exception was taken by several members of tho Rangitikei County Council today to tho fact that on the regional planning conferonoes to bo hold throughout the Dominion, county councils have only the same representation aB small looal bodies such as town boards. Messrs S. McLuro and A. Robertson have been appointed to the executive of the Taihape Returned Soldiers’ Association. Junior football results yesterday were: Ohingaiti 11 v. Athletic 3; Hunterville 25 v. Old Boys 0; Halcombe 12 v. Rata 3. Ladies’ hockey results: Hinemoa 2 r. Maxton Athletic 1; Tokorangi 2v. Marton United 1; Rata 4 v. Stanway 0; Waituna ov. Halcombe Athletic 0. Tho points table is: Hinemoa 4, Halcombe Athletic 3, Marton United 3, Stanway 2 Rata 2, Tokorangi 1, Waituna 1, Marton Athletic 0. Miss G. Hewitt retumod the best card among the juniors. The Taihape R.S.A. has set aside £ls for subsidising relief works for unemployed ex-eoldiers.
