The new Canadian Pacific liner, Empress of Japan, is full of electric appliances. There is wireless telegraphy, with a wireless direction tinder, electric apparatus for submarine signalling, and a gyroscopic compass ; an electric gramophone repeater, and an electrim cinema. All the fod is cooked on electrhic stoves.
