PRINCE OF WALES
MOTHER’S INFLUENCE. QUESTION OF MARRIAGE. LADY CAVENDISH’S BOOK. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Received April 12, 10 a.m. LONDON, April 11. It is understood that the biography of the Queen has not been submitted to Her Majesty. Therefore, extracts and reference to her sons are being transmitted reservedly, but are being freely published here. The authoress, Lady Charlotte Cavendish, states that Her Majesty’s influence on the Prince of Wales has not yet been great enough to persuade him to take a wife.
“The Queen, in common with most of us, would like to see him married with the prospect of a dircet heir to the throne, but efforts so far have proved in vain. “On every other subject but marriage. the Prince of Wales has implicit faith in Iris mother’s judgment. He consults her concerning most of his undertakings.”
