CHURCH SERVICES.

The special series of sermons for parents will be continued in St. Andrew’s Church to-morrow forenoon, when Rev. G. T; Brown, M.A., will preach ontjihe subject, “On the Glacier.” Last Sunday', the church was crowded to hear the first of these spcctul talks. The special subjects will be continued throughout the present month. In, the evening the subject will again be adapted particularly to tho tastes ot young men and young women. The subject will be “at the movie show.”'. , The. services. to-morrow . at, tho Cuba Street Methodist Church will :be of a special character, the occasion being .the annual foreign mission appeal. At 11 a.m. Rev. F. A. Crawshaw, N.Z. secretary for the Mission to Lepers, will be in charge. At 7 p.m. Rev. A. H. Voyce, pioneer missionary to the Island .of Bougainville, will be tho preacher. The offertories will bo devoted to tho mission fund. Mr Voyce will officiato at Longburn at 2.30. On Wednesday next Mr Voyce will giv6 an illustrated lecture concerning his work. All interested are cordially invited to be present both tomorrow and on Wednesday. To-morrow is foreign mission Sunday at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, and the preacher at 11 a.m. will be Rev. A. 11. Voyce, an old member of St. Paul’s and now a pioneer missionary in the Solomon Islands. Air Voyce has a fascinating and wonderful 6tory to tell of tho triumphs of' mission work, and on Tuesday evening will give a lantern lecture in St. Paul’s School. Rev. F. A. Crawshaw, secretary of the Mission to Lepers, wilf conduct the evening service, and a cordial invitation is extended to all to attend these inspiring services. Christian convention meetings will bo held on Good Friday in the Oroua Hall. These meetings will be similar to the Keswick Convention meetings, the aim apd object being the deepening of the spiritual life of God’s people and the bringing about of a revival. , All oyer the world devout Christians are turning back to prayer as tho sole means that can bring about revival conditions. Christians are urged to give up the day to this great end. At All Saints’ Church to-morrow evening Stainer’s Crucifixion will be sung. In accordance with the oustom ruling at this Church for many years past, the usual evening service will not be sung, but the sacred meditation on the .“Passion” will by substituted. The service, is at 7 o’clock and will be preceded by a short organ recital at 6.30 p.m., when . among other items, Chopin’s "Marche Funebro” and Handel’s aria, “He was Despised,” will be. played by the organist, Mr J. Holmes Runnicles.
