FATAL COLLISION.
MOTOR CYCLIST KILLED. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, ApriJ 10. Mr Archibald L. Melville, a fawn manager, of Turakina, was killed instantaneously to-day. Ho was riding a motor cycle and collided with a three-senter car. Mr Melville was riding to attend the Wanganui Trotting Club’s meeting, and, when apparently on the wrong side of the road, his machine struck the left hand front portion of the car, which was driven by Mr John Stewart, a motor salesman, of Marton. The collision was of a severe nature, and occurred on the Auckland-Welling-ton main highway, about a mile from the Wanganui city boundary, on tarsealed surface. Deceased’s head was practically shattered, and death -was instantaneous. He was aged 27 and single.
