W.E.A. DRAMA CLASS.

HEADING OF GALSWORTHY. Galsworthy’s play, “The Skin Game,” was read by members of the W.E.A. drama class in the Oroua Hall last evening. Despite the absence of stage properties and the presence of books, the reading of the play proved most effective. The large attendance, both of reading and non r reading members, furnished evidence that the class is now firmly' established, and is fulfilling a very useful function’ in bringing students into contact with modern masterpieces of dramatic art. The two plays which huye been read provide a wide field for discussion and study, and it is anticipated that at the next meeting, a fortnight hence, a full discussion will ensue on the plays of Galsworthy. It was announced that at the next meeting a selected cast would read episodes from “Escape,” and that Mrs Hannah, of Wellington, would debate or . lecture on “Galsworthy.”
