DRAINAGE WORK.
SLUGGISH RIVER BOARD. The monthly meeting of the Sluggish Hirer Drainage Board was held this morning, Mr F. J. Foster presiding. Also present were Messrs Coulter, Ryan, Print and Wilton. The overseer reported, in connection with the improvement scheme, thnt the first portion of the Main Drain was completed. Contracts were let for cleaning No. 1, No. 6, Lane’s, Cooper and Greenaway’s Taikorea Drains.
