. Tho annual meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Association yesterday instructed the secretary to write letters of sympathy to Messrs J. Balsillie and W. McKenzie in their illnesses and expressing the hope that they would soon be able to attend committee meetings. . At the annual meeting of the Manawatu A. and P. Association, yesterday, motions of condolence wero passed with the relatives of the late Sir James Wilson, Messrs J. M. Johnston, JR,. Stevens, J. Bett and G. Kendall. Members stood in silence in respect to the memory, of the deceased gentlemen. On the eve of his departure for abroad, Dr. E. C. Barnett was the guest of a pleasant little function at the Northcote private hospital when he was presented with a travelling rug on behalf of the matron and staff. Drs. Hunter Will and Cyril King were present.
