The loss of time, caused by traffic congestion in Paris is said to amount in terns of earning pow-er to £24,000 a year. This is small in comparison with the sum which New York is estimated to. lose for the same reason, which has been calculated at £200,000 a day. These figures are, of course, hypothetical.
