IRELAND’S CLAIM TO SEAT. COMPLICATIONS EXPECTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Recoived April 10, 12.25 p.m. GENEVA, April 9. Complications are expected to follow the Irish Free State’s decision to seek a non-permanent seat on the Council of tiie League independent, of Britain. The Empire is now represented by Canada, and it is expected that South Africa will succeed to the Empire’s seat as Australia and New Zealand are not aspirants. Ireland's claim is regarded ns a gesture to demonstrate its virtual independence, but it is unlikely to succeed.
