THE HOUSING BILL. Received April 9, .10.5 a.m. LONDON,' April 8. In the House of Cortimons to-day, Mr A. Greenwood, Minister of Health, moved the second reading of the Government’s Housing Bill. He said that the bill introduced a . new method of clearing slum areas, simplified tho purchase ' of homes, and enabled local authorities to develop a coherent housing policy. A crowded House applauded the maiden speeches of Miss Megan Lloyd George and. Mr Malcolm MacDonald. The debate was adjourned.
