TUTANKHAMEN’S TOMB.
Received April 9, 9.5 a.m. CAIRO, April 7. The Chamber of Deputies referred tr. the Finance Committee a proposal by the Minister of Finance to grant £34,000 to the heirs of the late Lord Carnarvon, as compensation for the expenditure on Tutankhamen’s Tomb. Lord Carnarvon, with Mr Howard Carter, discovered the tomb of King Tutankhamen, at Luxor, in November of 1922. Lord Carnarvon died in Cairo in the following April.
