Th b Premier, Mr T. li. Bavin, gave the Legislative Assembly an opportunity of'discussing the economic situation to-day, He launched proposals for a return "to the 4-6-hour week in all industries, a tax on all wages to provide a fund for the relief of the unemployed, and a reduction of the salaries of public servants. Mr J. T. Lung, the Labour Leader, challenged the Government to go to the country upon there issues at once. The debate was an acrimonious one.
