COUNCIL PAYS DAMAGES
CASE AT GREYMOUTH,

GREYMOTJTH, April 9. The Groymnuth Borough Council was ordered by Mr Moldrum, 8.M., in the Court this morning, to nay £lO and costs to Joseph Rudhall and nino guineas and costs to Elsie Itudhajl, damages sustained to their clothes when a motor cycle skidded on wet tar on Marsden Road. Plaintiffs claimed that insufficient precautions had been taken by the council to give warning of the tar to users of the thoroughfare.
