EARLY MORNING FIRE.
LITTLE DAMAGE DONE. , Though it had the apenrance of a large conflagration, an outbreak of fire, to which the brigade was sumonded at 2.30 a.m. to-cjay, was speedily subdued. The fire occurred at No. 34& Main Street, a ten roomed boarding house owned by Mr Andrew Buchanan and occupied by Mrs Eileen Smith. The damage was;,chiefly to the kitchen and dining room, but heat penetrated to the front of the house, doing silght damage. It is considered that the outbreak may be attributable to the lights on the ground floor being out of order owing to a short circuit. ( The furniture was insured for £250.
