SANDON FATALITY.
MOTOR-CYCLIST’S DEATH. No date has yet been fixed for the inquest into the circumstances surrounding the death of the Wellington motor-cyclist, Mr E. Brandeis, who died in the Palmerston Nprth Hospital yesterday following a collision with a service car /at Sandon on Monday evening. Additional details disclose that the accident took place 200 yards on the Foxton side of the Makowhai Dairy Gompany’s premises. Deceased was riding in the direction of Palmerston North from Wanganui, and apparently failed to see tthe lights of the approaching service car on account _of the cloud of" dust raised’by passing vehicles. The cycle was struck by the offside front mudguard of the car. Mr Brandeis was thrown heavily and was found alongside the car; The two passengers, Mr George Frederick Woods, who was on the pillion seat, and Miss Nellie Woods, who was in the side chair, were thrown on. to the grass and rendered unconscious. Their condition is", however, not regarded as serious. They reside at Foxton. Mr Brandeis was aged 26 years and was a motor garage proprietor. '
