ROTARY CLUB.
CONFERENCE AT NATIONAL .. PARK. , At the weekly luncheon of the Rotary Club yesterday Rotarian J. A. Grant, who represented the club at the Rotary Conference, held at the National Park recently, gave a brief address on the proceedings there, ltotarian L. H. Collinson presided. Attending the conference were three American Rotarians. There was a disappointing representation' of the New Zealand clubs as there were only 105 delegates present, and of these 31 came from Auckland, 21 from Wellington and seven from Hamilton. Of 15 North Island clubs, only 11 were reS resented and six out of the eight in le South Island. Against this there were three Japanese Rotarians, two from the United States and one from Honolulu. The interest of the Japanese was largely the outcome' of the Tokio conference and, they had taken the opportunity to make a presentation to Rotarian Charles Rhodes, who had'become very popular at Tokio. The Japanese also brought to the Dominion a token of regard for each New Zealand club.
Rotarian A. A. Langley moved a vote of thanks, which was carried by acclamation.
