CASE SETTLED.
JOCKEY AND TRAINER. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 8. A case in which Douglas Cotton, a jockev, proceeded against Frederick P. Claridge, a trainer, ft>r £3OO damages for alleged defamation, was called in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, but an adjournment was granted until this afternoon, counsel for defendant stating that it would be settled. Subsequently a settlement was made.
