BOXING.

SARRON’S ENFORCED REST. ANXIOUS FOR RETURN BOUT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 1. Pete Sarron, the American boxer, lias had his injured left hand examined by a doctor and it is now in a pack. It is still considerably swollen, and it will be five weeks at least before he will be able to enter the ring again. If his hand recovers, he will bo prepared to meet Tommy Donovan in a return battle, as Sarron is naturally anxious to wipe out last Saturday’s defeat. Though nothing has yet been definitely settled, it is probable that tire contest will be staged in Dunedin, but the lateness of the season may prevent the. contest taking place in the open •air.
