TRIALS AT DAYTONA. KAYE DON’S ATTEMPTS. BEST TIME TO DATE. (United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 2, 10.5 a.m. NEW YORK, April 1. At Daytona Beach to-day, Mr Kaye Don, the famous British motorist, made three round trips of the nine miles course and attained a top speed of 186.046 miles an hour for a mile on one run. This is the best official time he has made so far, but it is some 45 miles per hour short of , Sir Henry Segrave’s record. The engine behaved poorly. Mr Don hopes to undertake a further trial to-morrow. SEGRAVE’S GOLDEN ARROW. FREMANTLE, April 1. The liner Orama, which has arrived from London, brought the Golden Arrow, Sir Henry Segrave’s racing car, which established the world record at Daytona Beach.
