ROYAL ENGAGEMENT
HOSTILE RUMOURS. AIARRIAGE TO TAKE PLACE. PRINCESS ILEANA’S DECISION. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). Received February 25, 10.5 a.m. NICE, Feb. 24. Though Count Hochberg refuses farther .to comment on the alleged rupture of his engagement to Princess Ileana of Roumania, it is authoritatively stated that the Princess has just telegraphed Count Hochberg, urging him to hasten to join her at Cairo and not to take any notice of rumours. Princess Ileana says that the wedding will take place* at Bucharest on April 27. Count Hochburg’s friends assert that the hostile rumours emanate from certain Roumanian members of the Cabinet who wish Princess Ileana to marry an exalted German prince.
