CHILD STRANGLED.

Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Feb. 21. A distressing fatality occurred at Roslyn this morning. Patricia Valerie McDonald, aged three, accidentally strangled herself with a window cord. The little girl, who was the daughter of Mr Frederick John McDonald, was put down in a single bed by her mother at 10.15 o’clock for her morning sleep. When her mother went back to get her up for dinner about two hours later, ,sho found the child hanging with her head through a window cord and her toes about four inches off the floor. Dr. Strain, who was called in, could only pronounce life extinct.
