SEVERE BURNS.
WOMAN DIES IN HOSPITAL. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 21. As a result of burns received earlier in the day, Mrs Marjorie Willett died at St. George’s Hospital at 8.30 o’clock this evening. It is supposed that she received burns from an explosion of petrol in a shed at the rear of her house. Mrs Willett went to the shed at 8.40 a.m., and a few minutes later another occupant of the premises, Miss H. M. Kent, heard screams and found Mrs Willett standing in the shed with her clothes on fire. Miss Kent wrapped Mrs Willett in rugs she snatched from the clothes line and extinguished the flames, but Mrs Willett was very badlv burned.
